Black Series

‘Black Series’ is some of my very earliest work. It was an exercise in lighting technique; a way to familiarize myself with the way light acted in a controlled environment. I made a conscious decision to keep the photographs simple in order to focus my attention on how the light spread or fell off over the scene.
